Our Veterinarians

Dr. Komlosy is a compassionate veterinarian dedicated to providing exceptional care to pets and their families in San Diego. A San Diego native, Dr. Komlosy earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University, completing his clinical training at Louisiana State University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from California State University, Fresno, where he had the unique opportunity to study abroad at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.

With years of experience in both general practice and emergency care, Dr. Komlosy offers a wide range of veterinary services. His professional interests include: General wellness and preventive care, Soft tissue surgery (spays, neuters, mass removals, and more), Abdominal ultrasound and diagnostic imaging, and Emergency and urgent care medicine.

Throughout his career, Dr. Komlosy has worked in busy small animal hospitals across San Diego. He has also mentored veterinary students and new graduates, and continues to pursue continuing education in dentistry, emergency medicine, and ultrasound. Dr. Komlosy became RECOVER certified for CPR.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Komlosy is an outdoors enthusiast. Dr. Komlosy loves to go to the beach and enjoys activities like surfing and swimming. He enjoys giving back to the community through volunteer work and has in the past volunteered at organizations such as the Feral Cat Coalition and the Helen Woodward Animal Center. Dr. Komlosy has two high energy dogs named Rhea and Lucky that he thoroughly spoils. Dr. Komlosy loves to travel with his fiance around the world. Some places that he has traveled to include the Czech Republic, Romania, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Costa Rica, and Morocco. Fun fact, Dr. Komlosy learned to drive a tracker during his time at Fresno State.

For Dr. Nathan Quintana, veterinary medicine is about more than just a diagnosis—it’s about supporting the unique bond between people and their pets. As an Associate Veterinarian in San Diego, Dr. Quintana specializes in companion animal care with a focus on preventative wellness, allergy management, and diagnostic imaging.

He approaches every case with a blend of clinical precision and genuine empathy, making it his mission to ensure pet parents are active, informed partners in their animals' care. Whether it’s a routine check-up or a complex health concern, Dr. Quintana leads with a "patients-first" philosophy.

Beyond the exam room, Nathan enjoys exploring San Diego's diverse food scene and coastal views.  He enjoys participating in community outreach, and can sometimes be spotted trying out local tiki bars or hiking with his dog, Milo.
