Meet our caring and compassionate veterinary care team committed to providing exceptional veterinary care.
Dr. Aaron Rhoades grew up in Bonita with many family pets and a great love for animals of all kinds, which led him to earn his DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.
Before veterinary school, he worked with two of San Diego’s most respected exotics veterinarians. During vet school, he traveled to Africa and helped to provide medical care to many species of wildlife, worked with sea turtles off of the Carolina coast, and completed the first ever externship at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.
He has worked in small animal practice in New York and in San Diego, and loves preventive care, surgery, and working with his team to provide excellent care and client communication. He offers a personalized approach to each and every dog or cat he sees. In his free time, Dr. Rhoades enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, and hanging out with his kids and all of their other family members, which include dogs, cats, chickens and tortoises.
Dr. Cynthia Redfield grew up in a small town in Wyoming surrounded by sweeping prairie and lots of animals. She went to veterinary school at Ross University School in St. Kitts, where she and Aaron met.
She completed a small animal internship, has worked as an emergency doctor, and in general practice. Since 2010, she has owned and operated Vets to Pets Mobile Veterinary Service providing housecall services in the San Diego area.
Dr. Redfield has studied Acupuncture, Food Therapy, Chinese Herbal Therapy, and End-of-Life/Palliative Care at the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. She is very passionate about integrating Western and Eastern medicine to help animals to have the best possible quality of life.
She is excited to be able to work with her husband and the rest of Town and Country team to provide compassionate and skilled care to all of the dogs and cats who come through the door! She loves spending time with her family, animals, and friends, reading books, being outside, and doing yoga.
Linda Hutchins, our Practice Manager, has been managing veterinary hospitals for over 25 years. For as long as she can remember she has loved animals and the bonds we form with them. She is proud to be a part of the veterinary field as being able to educate pet parents, enhance the human-animal bond, and bring the best health to our furry friends is a great accomplishment. She says, “We get to make a difference every single day, that’s why we do what we do.” Linda is so happy to be able to bring her experience to Town and Country Animal Hospital and to work with the amazing group of people that make up our team!
