Our Team

Dr. Aaron Rhoades grew up in Bonita with many family pets and a great love for animals of all kinds, which led him to earn his DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.

Before veterinary school, he worked with two of San Diego’s most respected exotics veterinarians. During vet school, he traveled to Africa and helped to provide medical care to many species of wildlife, worked with sea turtles off of the Carolina coast, and completed the first ever externship at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.

​​​​​​​He has worked in small animal practice in New York and in San Diego, and loves preventive care, surgery, and working with his team to provide excellent care and client communication. He offers a personalized approach to each and every dog or cat he sees. In his free time, Dr. Rhoades enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, and hanging out with his kids and all of their other family members, which include dogs, cats, chickens and tortoises.
